The Waitlist Game is a free skill competition run by sushiroll (sushiroll.games). It is open to people aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom. Prizes are sent to UK addresses only. No purchase is needed, and joining the sushiroll waitlist is free.
It runs from 1 August 2026 until midnight (UK time) on 30 September 2026, when all scores lock. Runs finished after that moment do not count.
We may extend the closing date. If we do, we will change it on this page and email everyone who has entered at least 7 days beforehand. We will not bring the closing date forward, so an entry made today can never be cut short.
The competition is separate from the launch of the sushiroll app. The app may open before the competition closes, and access may be released to waitlist members in stages. Neither of those affects your entry, the closing date, or the prizes.
You choose the name you appear as on the leaderboard. It does not need to be a real name or a social media account. Names that are offensive, impersonate someone else, or are used to advertise will be removed from the leaderboard, along with any score attached to them, and that entry will not be eligible for a prize.
An extra turn is offered to entrants who follow us on Instagram, like and comment on our pinned reel about the game, and tell us their Instagram username. This is optional and is not needed to enter or to win. The like and comment must be in place before the extra turn is used. We check the claims of anyone in line for a prize, and a claim we cannot verify means the extra turn and any score achieved with it do not count. The same Instagram account may only claim once. Entrants without an Instagram account can earn extra turns through referrals instead, and there is no limit on those.
First place wins board games to the value of £100, second place £50 and third place £20. We order the games and have them delivered to a UK address. You choose what you would like up to that value, from what is in stock at ordinary retail price at the time we order; if something is unavailable we will ask you to pick again. Prizes are awarded as games, not cash, and no cash alternative is offered.
Everyone who finishes in the top 50 also gets three months of Sushiroll Premium free once it launches. Sushiroll Premium is a paid plan we intend to offer but have not yet built, and it will launch after the app itself — possibly some time after, so this part of the prize may not arrive straight away. If we have not launched it within 12 months of the closing date, this element of the prize lapses and no cash alternative is offered. The game prizes are not affected and do not depend on the app or on Premium existing.
Positions are decided by the highest best turn when scores lock.
If two or more players finish on the same score, we settle it in this order:
We will tell any player affected by a draw that one took place.
We check both of these before a prize is sent. If you claimed the Instagram extra turn, we also check the follow, like and comment behind it, as set out above. If a winner does not qualify or does not reply in time, the prize passes to the next player down.
Every roll is recorded and can be replayed exactly. Before any prize is sent, we verify the winning runs and the referrals behind any extra runs. Scores produced by automation, tampering or fake referrals are removed, and we may disqualify entries that break these terms.
One entry per person. Play on as many devices as you like, but one email address is one player.
Promoter: sushiroll, operating at sushiroll.games. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta.
We use your email address to run the competition and the waitlist, and your chosen leaderboard name to show your place. If you claim the Instagram extra turn, we use the Instagram username you give us to verify that claim. We never sell your details, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
If something outside our control forces a change to the competition, we will announce it on the sushiroll channels and treat everyone's existing scores fairly.
